Read the prequel- End of an Era first!
I didn’t have the fairytale ending promised by all the commercials. I didn’t even get an awkward first date that later becomes and interesting story to tell at parties. But I didn’t walk away empty handed. I got a lousy T-shirt and some great parting gifts lol. Just kidding. I learned a few lessons about men and about myself.
I can’t make anyone like me. No matter how open-minded I allow myself to be, the other person has the same freedom to choose either yes or no. Some guys have more in common with animals than this rare treasure called me. However, there are indeed gentlemen out there who know how to treat a lady right. These are the often overlooked “nice guys”; the ones who want a wife and not a booty call. Just because a guy is considerate, funny, tall, dark, handsome, or any other adjective doesn’t mean he is your soulmate, or even worth a date. Unlike in fairy tales, love needs time to blossom and grow. There were still some heart issues concerning my “wonderful” ex-boyfriend that I was unaware of (or perhaps ignoring) that I had to work through. I could not go forward until the chains that held me to my past were loosed. I may have found my confidence in the classroom, but attractive guys turn my brain into putty. Those first few weeks were rough. I got through it someone and whatever doesn’t kill me makes me stronger, right?
Good for you girl. Came upon your blog and have enjoyed reading it. Mr Right is out there…for sure, but unfortunately doesn’t or wont appear, on my cue
But that’s ok, right, cause God knows best and His timing is Perfect
I take hope in that!

So, so true!!
